September Student of the Month – Alexis Degler

The PCHS Murphy-Wall State Bank Student of the Month for September is Alexis Degler. Activities she is involved in include FBLA President, President of Student Council, Youth and Government, Scholar Bowl, 3 years as class president, Beta Club, FCA, MAPPS, Band, as well as Music Makers. In her spare time, Alexis is the associate manager at Audra’s Footprint in Pinckneyville. Her college plans include graduating Rend Lake College with her AA in Business in the summer of 2022, and attend SEMO for 2 years to obtain her Bachelor’s in Business Administration, then MBA. Alexis is pictured receiving her certificate presented by Murphy-Wall EVP/Chief Operations Officer Susan Davis.

About the Award

PCHS Seniors were given the opportunity to apply for the Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month honor at the beginning of the school year.  Students were asked to submit up to a 500 word essay in application of this honor.  Out of eighteen applicants, nine students were selected by a committee of three anonymous members from outside the community. These nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Month and $50. One of these nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Year and $1000.
