Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company would like to congratulate Evan Cheek and Emily Restoff for being selected as our Students of the Month for May!
After high school, Evan plans on attending Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Emily plans to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in early elementary education.
Both students have been very involved in organizations throughout their time in high school. Emily’s extracurricular activities such as Soccer, Prom and Mardi Gras planning, and class officer positions including Vice President and Secretary. Evan’s extracurricular activities include Football, Beta Club, and both Marching and Concert Band.

About the Award
PCHS Seniors were given the opportunity to apply for the Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month honor at the beginning of the school year. Students were asked to submit up to a 500-word essay in application of this honor. Out of twenty-six applicants, twelve students will receive the honor of Student of the Month and $50. One of these twelve students will receive the honor of Student of the Year and a $1000 scholarship. View Previous Student of the Month Seniors.
