Murphy-Wall State Bank & Trust Company Recognizes Eliza Heisner as PCHS October Student of the Month

Murphy-Wall State Bank & Trust Company is proud to recognize Eliza Heisner as our October Student of the Month. Eliza was selected for her exceptional academic performance, leadership, and meaningful contributions to her school and community. Congratulations, Eliza!

Following graduation, Eliza plans to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with the goal of specializing in pediatrics. Her passion for working with children and making a lasting impact has guided her career aspirations. Throughout high school, Eliza has been actively involved in cheerleading, Beta Club, and Student Council, and was honored as the 2024 Mardi Gras Queen.

About the Award

At the start of the school year, PCHS seniors were invited to apply for the Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month by submitting a personal essay of at least 500 words. From twenty-six applicants, twelve students will be selected to receive the Student of the Month title along with a $50 award. At the end of the school year, one of these twelve will be named Student of the Year and awarded a $1,000 scholarship, while another will be honored as the President’s Scholar, also receiving a $1,000 scholarship.
