Friday, September 7, 2018, after employees got off work, several headed to Carterville to participate in the Carterville Chamber’s Twilight Glo 5K Run/Walk.  Decked out in our Carterville orange tshirts, 22 employees, were among the 261 participants in the event.

The event was held at Carterville’s Cannon Park with the evening and race getting off to a great start.  The route made its way to John A Logan College and back.  Shortly into the race the weather changed quickly and participants were in a heavy downpour.

Even though the weather gave an extra challenge, everyone managed to make it to the finish line.  The event coincides with the Carterville Free Fair, with rides, vendors, music and fun.  Murphy-Wall State Bank enjoyed their inaugural event participation at Carterville and looks forward to many more.
