Murphy Wall State Bank Donates to START out 2021

Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company recently named S.T.A.R.T. in Murphysboro as the recipient of a $500.00 donation raised by bank employees through the bank’s 2020 Jean Day Program. Murphy-Wall State Bank VP/Murphysboro Branch Manager Josh Rakers and Murphy-Wall AVP/Lending Officer Matt Brooks are pictured presenting a check to Abbie Davenport, the Executive Director of S.T.A.R.T., accepting on behalf of the organization.
S.T.A.R.T., which stands for “Specialized Training for Adult Rehabilitation” focuses on developmental and vocational training, with a mission of enhancing the quality of life for persons with disabilities. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities or other economic, social, and vocational challenges. Murphy-Wall employees wishing to wear jeans on Fridays during the year may do so when they elect to authorize a payroll deduction of a certain amount each pay period. At the end of the year, a portion of the funds go back to designated charitable organizations.
