November Student of the Month Madison Geffers

 

 

The November Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month is Madison Geffers. For her extra-circular activities, Madison noted she helps tutor young children at the grade school, and this past Halloween, volunteered her time helping out at a local haunted house. Sports and clubs she has been involved in include cross country and playing soccer as a goalie. She is also a member of color guard and a part of Beta Club, Green Team, Spanish Club and FLA. Madison plans to study nursing at SIUE and then pursue a career in Pediatric Nursing.

About the Award

 

PCHS Seniors were given the opportunity to apply for the Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month honor at the beginning of the school year.  Students were asked to submit up to a 500 word essay in application of this honor.  Out of eighteen applicants, nine students were selected by a committee of three anonymous members from outside the community. These nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Month and $50. One of these nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Year and $1000.
