The Billie Ray Craig Memorial Junior Golf Classic, sponsored by Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company was conducted Tuesday June 22, 2022 at the Red Hawk Country Club, Pinckneyville, IL. The tournament hosted junior golfers from across Southern Illinois. The tournament, which is a Point Event for the Southern Illinois Golf Association Junior Golf Tour, is named after the late Billie Ray Craig of Pinckneyville, an avid golfer and member of the Southern Illinois Golf Hall of Fame. His wife, Marlene Craig and son-in-law Wes Choate helped with the tournament in his memory.
In the 8-9 boys group, (pictured left to right) Landen Shaw placed 2nd, Kayden Kueper placed first, and Luke Epplin placed 2nd.
In the 12-13 boys group, Lucas Duffy placed 1st and Tyler Hannen placed 2nd.
In the boys 10-11 group, Jaxon Miles placed 1st, Nash Bradley placed 2nd, and Kolton Welty placed 3rd.
In the boys 16-18 group, Parker Renken placed 1st and Dylan Clark placed 2nd.
In the boys 14-15 group, Brenden Klingler(not pictured) placed 1st, Michael Brees placed 2nd, and Owen Musenbrock placed 2nd.
In the girls 16-18 group, Emily Guest placed 1st and Faith Ferker placed 2nd.
In the girls 14-15 group, Camryn Luthy placed 1st and Brynn Stegman placed 2nd.
